Here is how to make a gradient background that actually reacts to 3D camera movement. Most people use Gradient Ramp, but it looks flat if you try to fly a camera through it. For this method, we are using CC Particle World. Then we add CC Lens and Turbulent Displace (Twist) to blend everything into a liquid look. Now you have a procedural background that has actual depth.
