U.S. Rep. Adelita Grijalva, D-Ariz., was sworn in officially to the House of Representatives on Wednesday by Speaker Mike Johnson, more than seven weeks after voters elected her to the seat. Grijalva won a special election in late September to succeed her father, Rep. Raúl Grijalva, who died earlier this year at age 77. She is the first Latina to represent Arizona in the U.S. House. Her congressional district includes the city of Tucson and almost all of Arizona’s border with Mexico. Johnson pre
