An Idaho-based company is recalling nearly 3,000 pounds of raw ground beef that may have been contaminated with E. coli bacteria. The meat was shipped to distributors in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania and Washington from Heyburn, Idaho-based Mountain West Food Group.

Possible E. coli contamination has led to the recall of a food product distributed to retailers in several states, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
