Bruce Springsteen returned to the Sunshine State last week for a concert in Sunrise as part of his “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour. For nearly three hours, he performed many of his old hits as well as a new one protesting the ICE crackdown in Minneapolis.

On “Two Hearts,” Steven Van Zandt stepped forward on vocals alongside Bruce, adding a celebratory lift to the performance. Their shared vocals, especially through the “It Takes Two” ending, gave the song a loose, joyful energy that contrasted with some of the heavier moments in the set.

Along with The E Street Band, he brought the Land of Hope and Dreams Tour to South Florida for a rousing night of iconic American rock ’n’ roll and unrestrained political protest at Amerant Bank Arena.
